July 2004 Newsletter

Friends of Coyote Creek (FoCC),

This Weeks RAC has been superseded by another slightly larger event -> the Naglee Park 4th of July EXTRAVAGANZA! Well... they call it a celebration, humble rascals, but RACES, Bake-offs, a parade, barbecue, live music, ice cream in the park... WOW!

Want details but didn't get your newsletter? Below, In our monthly section, What to Bring, We have reprinted the day's events. Have FUN and ENJOY your SUNDAY!

An almost REALLY GREAT ARTICLE

This article was going to be really GREAT! I intended to tell how, in the brief time we were on June's RAC, someone dumped a SOFA into the Creek. In rage and indignation, I was going to plaster photos of the gruesome deed in our newsletter and rally the community in support of stiffer legislation against such atrocity. I even planned to insert some plagiarized material on dumping (like: 18% of all litter dropped to the ground is washed into streams, rivers, lakes and the ocean by storm water runoff). But, alas, I decided to spend the evening at a friend's place drinking beers and watching videos, so that particular article ain't going to happen, sorry 'bout that.
